My Winding Roads

Today is CNY2006, Happy Chinese New Year to all. I wish everybody good health, everything goes smooth and the most important…WIN MORE!!!

I went to friend’s place to eat ‘tong yuen’ and gamble a bit. Even though it was not as happening as in my home country, at least that was something different. No traffic jams and crowded everywhere. There will be a problem for eating because many people will eat outside and many restaurants or hawker centres will be closed. But there will be several shops that will open during CNY. These shops will have high profits!

Since I came to UK, I am trying to adapt to a new culture and living style. Every request ending with the magic word , ‘please‘. Every gratefulness will be presented by the word ‘cheers‘. This ‘cheers’ is normally used by me during party nights.

Back in my home country, chinese CD’s, VCD’s and DVD’s are normal to me. Even English version of these are easily available. But then in UK, I hardly see any of these except Ebay. Really miss my all time favourite humour movies by Stephen Chow. I used to treat his movie as my ’sleeping pill’ therefore most of his movies, I have watched at least more than 3 times.

This is the 3rd day I didn’t sleep. Have been going to the library these days from night to early morning. I was feeling sleepy at the library but when I get back to my room, I can’t sleep. Maybe I am too tense, final exam coming soon.
By the way, my claim for Paypal Buyer’s Protection is denied. I was so angry when I knew it, cause I have sent the item back to the seller and Paypal told me the case is closed. An email was sent to Paypal and they told me the tracking number was not working, therefore they close the case. Must call up Royal Mail for an explanation. How can a 1st Recorded Mail like this. If I knew, I will use Special Delivery.

Woke up at 10pm and get my ready in a rush to library. It is a routine that I will go to my friend’s room before I go back to my room, all my meals are taken at my friend’s house. When I want to go back, I can’t find my key. OMG, a replacement key will cost me £30.
So I walked back to my room and found that the key is on the keyhole. When I opened the door, all my belongings are still here, especially my I-Book.

It might be a tiring day for you after hours of working. Help yourself and play a simple game. It will be an easy flash game where you move your mouse cursor along narrow paths towards the end point. Try not to touch the walls and turn volume to moderate level. Playing games with some music tend to be better.
